A family project rooted in the land

Cielos de América EC is a family business founded by agronomist Manuel Chamba in 2021, in the valleys of Bolívar, Ecuador.

We have been exporting to international buyers since 2023. The farm combines modern greenhouse technology with deep knowledge of the land to grow export-quality roses.

“Every rose is the result of perseverance, dedication and love for the land.”

Manuel Chamba, founder

Our journey

  1. 2021

    The beginning

Manuel Chamba founds the farm in Bolívar with the first export varieties.

  2. 2023

    First exports

We begin exporting to international buyers.

Our process, step by step

  1. Wide view of a rose greenhouse with white roses in bloom

    Greenhouses

Drip irrigation, climate control and constant monitoring for long stems and well-formed buds.

  2. White rose bud ready to be harvested in the greenhouse

    Harvest

Each stem is hand-cut at its optimal opening point during the early morning hours.

  3. Post-harvest area with roses in hydration buckets

    Post-harvest & grading

Roses are hydrated immediately, then graded by length, bud size and health and bunched to each market’s standard.

  4. Cielos de América EC flower boxes stacked in the packing area

    Packing

Bunches are protected and packed in boxes built to withstand the journey.

  5. Open boxes of red roses branded Cielos de América EC in the cold room

    Cold storage

Boxes are kept in cold rooms at 2–4 °C until dispatch.

  6. Cold room with boxes of roses prepared for dispatch

    Dispatch

We keep the cold chain unbroken all the way to the aircraft at Quito airport (UIO).
